Exploding Photo Box
I made this exploding box while in Melbourne to leave with photos for my great niece to keep her in touch with the Kiwi arm of her family. As previously mentioned I have limited supplies to work with, so before punching out the butterflys I stamped crumb cake card stock with one of the flowers from the "a reason to smile" stamp set, then sponged them once I had punched them out, which had the desired effect. The DSP's used were Paisley Petals and Timeless Portrait. Inks were Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple. The Lace is non SU.

On Sunday morning I went to a Stampin Up class with my sister in Pakenham, Melbourne. The demo who took the class was Carly, she doesn't have a blog yet so I can't send you to her site. We had a very enjoyable couple of hours and made 4 cards.

Easel Calender 2013
As I have already mentioned we are visiting my sister and family in Melbourne, so I have limited Stampin Up supplies available, however I managed to put this wee easel calender together this morning. I'm in love with the new Vanilla 5/8" flower trim as you will see in my next few posts.
Unfortunately the lighting in this photo is not the best and doesn't do justice to the DSP colours.
Card stock: Crumb Cake
DSP: Paisley Petals
Punch: Butterfly punch.
Other: Basic pearls, Vanilla 5/8" flower trim

Pleasant Poppies
I'm off to Melbourne today for ten days so that Brian can attend the Australian open and I'll spend time with my sister who lives there. While we are there I will be going to a couple of Stampin Up classes with her. I've got her hooked on Stampin Up and she is going to join up as a demo and come to convention with me in May.
I'm setting up a few posts that I can post while I'm away in Australia and I'm sure we will be doing some crafting while I'm in Melbourne.
This card is the first time I have used my Pleasant Poppies stamp, which I have embossed with Cherry embossing powder. (not sure how that will show up in the photo)
Cardstock: Pirouette Pink, Very Vanilla
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, which I brayered onto one side of an embossing folder( non SU) before running it through the big shot.
Other: Basic pearls, Primrose Petals satin stitched ribbon.
You will notice there is no sentiment on this card, because I haven't decided what to use yet.

George's 9th Birthday
Today is the card I have made for my 2nd eldest grandson whose 9th birthday is on the 28th January.

Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Whisper white
Inks: Early Espresso, Raspberry Ripple, Lucky limeade, Summer Starfruit
Stamps: I dig you, Party this way, Memorable moments

Lined Draw string bag
Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you have all enjoyed Christmas and New Year. The last of our visitors leave tomorrow, so as you can imagine there has been little time for crafting, I have managed to make up one of the draw string bags that Paula Dobson made for her team as Christmas gifts.
The tutorial comes from Jeni Baker at http://www.incolororder.com/2011/10/lined-drawstring-bag-tutorial.html I used our Designer fabric "Flirtatious"and lined it with calico, as I am a very basic seamstress I found the tutorial easy to follow and very helpful.
