Butterfly Basics - One can easily become addicted to this stamp set and matching framelits. I don't seem to be tiring of it at all, I've used up some retired card sets here, it's an absolute doddle to make gorgeous cards.

Butterfly Basics

As you will see over my next few posts I have been busy using the Butterfly Basics Stamp set and thinlits. For these three cards I have also used the Painted Bloom DSP and pearls to decorate the card fronts.

40th Birthday

This cascade card was for my daughter in-law's 40th birthday, you might be able to tell, she loves shoes, handbags and clothes. We had her party last night with lots of family and friends helping to celebrate.

Moon Lake Birthday

I'm pleased with how this card turned out, using only two colours; whisper white and  Lost Lagoon. I was inspired by a card I saw somewhere on the internet, but for the life of me I can't find it again, so apologies to whoever created this card originally.

Big Day

Four Feathers Birthday Card

This is one of the cards in a set of 6  that I made for 4 of my friends, this one I cased from Amy O'Neill Here I changed it up a little using brushed gold card stock instead of the old glitter and a sponge dauber for the background. 

70th Birthday

This card was created for a great friend who turned 70 this month, she has a great sense of humour, so I knew she would enjoy this card, her husband turned 70 a week later so I will post his card another time.I downloaded the image from MDS and coloured it with blendabilities.

Swallowtail Vellum

I found this card on Pinterest by Sarah Moore, unfortunately her link is no longer live. I love the Swallowtail stamp, it is so easy to make cards with a big impact.

Masking Tape Technique

This is the first time I have tried the "Masking Tape" technique and I had fun creating this card and it was so simple! I used the new "In Colours" ink.

Regarding Dahlias 1

More fun with my Blendabilities, this time I used the Wisteria Wonder assortment with the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, Memento ink, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White card stock.

Boutique Borders

This card was for a friend that I had made a photo board for, hence the Camera stamp.

Son's Birthday card

This card was made for our eldest son's birthday yesterday, I was very pleased with this card, I cased it from Beckie Roy Here The cardstock colors were Naturals white and smokey slate, the ink Memento, the Traveler stamp set and the hexagon punch. Inside; I used a partial stamp from "Traveler" and the sentiment from "Another great year".

New In Colours

I thought this was a good way to display the new "In Colours" for 2014-2016, I love all these new colours I cased this design from Dzines by MEG I kept the cards very simple to showcase the colours. I white embossed the words.

Swallowtail Card

I love how this card has turned out, I found this on Pinterest here when the swallowtail stamp first came out I wasn't sure whether I would purchase it or not, however I am so pleased that I did and have made many lovely cards using it, with differing techniques. The Photo doesn't show how gorgeous the gold embossing on the swallowtail is. I sponged the stamp with Summer Starfruit and Pumpkin Pie The backgound is stamped using the Encore gold metallic ink.

This card is quick and easy to make, but I love the final result. I cased this card from Brenda Hofstatter on "Stampin Connection"
