DSP Challenge

I have been in Christchurch for the last three weeks helping out family so haven't been able to blog or craft over that time, but now that I'm home again I have finished a very special mini album. One of my grandsons, 4 year old James, received a special award at kindy during June, this award is only given out when the recepient has done something extra special. It is called the "Snappy Award" and the chosen child is given a lovely certificate and is allowed to take "Snappy" (a toy crocodile) home for a week to look after him. James received the award for looking after a little boy with special needs without being asked to. During the week James had Snappy I took photos of where they went and what they were doing. I have made two albums one for Kindy and one for James. I have used qite a bit of DSP so am entering in this months challenge.

It's been a long time since my last blog for a variety of reasons. but I'm now looking forward to June classes. this month my ladies have asked for some childrens cards, these are what we will be making:

This is a card I cased from You Tube "Stamp with Heather's blog" (Canada) a shutter peek-a-boo card. Heather's was a Christmas card which I altered to fit our genre.

Family Wedding

April has been a very busy month in our household, our eldest son was married on the 28th April. We all had a fantastic day. Needless to say Mum made the invitations. Aunty Bee and Mum made the Place names, which also served as wedding favours, containing after dinner mints and the table decorations. The house has been full of visitors for the last two weeks hence the lack of blogging over that time.
Table Set Up
The table decorations were made using dried hydrangeas which were spray painted with white paint which still allowed a hint of the flowers original colour to show through and silver glitter was added. My sister inlaw made 15 oblong boxes which were painted black (Wedding theme was White Black and Silver) and filled these with oasis to hold the hydrangeas, then ribbons and organza were added to complete.
3 boxes on each table

I cased these invitations from an American demo on You Tube but I can't remember the name.

JAI # 111

JAI # 111 Just add Easter
I made these Easter baskets for my grandsons to take to their teachers as a small appreciation for the first term. I used the Petal cone die and the Lace ribbon border punch with  a variety of cardstock and DSP papers from the the twitterpated  range, adding the sale-a-bration ribbons to tie up the cellophane bags of eggs, lastly attaching the "Hoppy Easter" stamp.
